Meet Daniel Lofy
Daniel Lofy has spent more than three decades building Florence—not just through his business, but through a lifetime of service to the community he proudly calls home.
Daniel and his wife, Teresa, made Florence their home in 1990. Together they raised three children—two sons and a daughter—all of whom graduated from Siuslaw High School. Today, they are proud grandparents of three, including one grandchild who will be a senior at Siuslaw High School this year.
One of Daniel’s proudest accomplishments was building Lofy Construction from the ground up which he owned and operated in Florence for more than 30 years. The same values of hard work and craftsmanship that made his business successful have also shaped his lifelong commitment to serving Florence.

Daniel has volunteered with numerous civic and nonprofit organizations, including the Florence Area Chamber of Commerce, Florence Rotary, Helping Hands Coalition, Kiwanis, Habitat for Humanity, Friends of Florence, and many others.
He has repaired nonprofit facilities, installed public art projects, built the Rhododendron Court’s elaborate floats, driven and maintained the Friends of Florence bus for nearly a decade, and cooked for community fundraisers.
Daniel is known as someone who doesn't seek recognition—he simply shows up, works hard, and helps wherever he's needed. His leadership style is rooted in service.
That is exactly what the City of Florence needs: Someone who rolls up their sleeves and gets to work bringing people together to solve problems and improve the community.
That is why Daniel is running for Mayor.
Daniel believes local government should be responsive, transparent, fiscally responsible, and focused on the priorities that matter most to residents.
As Mayor, Daniel will bring the same practical, hands-on leadership that has defined his career and community service—listening to residents, working collaboratively, and always putting Florence first.
